Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville, now Sky Sports pundit, has decided between Celtic or Rangers for “the best” stadium atmosphere.

Regarded as one of the Premier League’s best-ever right-backs, Neville spent just under 20 years as a Red Devils professional and was an ever-present figure in Sir Alex Ferguson’s side at Old Trafford.

Coming through as part of the famous Class of 92’ at Carrington alongside David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes, Neville is now best known for his work with Sky Sports as a pundit, analyst and podcast host.

During his playing days, he played at Celtic Park and Ibrox once in the Champions League. Against the Hoops, Neville captained Man Utd as they lost 1-0 at Parkhead in 2006, with Shunsuke Nakamura’s late free kick proving to be the difference.

At Ibrox three years prior, Neville won 1-0 at Rangers thanks to an early goal from brother Phil.

Previously talking on the Stick to Football Podcast, Neville said that Rangers and Ibrox was the “best atmosphere” ahead of Celtic Park, describing it as “staggering”.
